Darell Robinson AKA Coach Rell is new to the coaching aspect of basketball but has been in love with the sport since the age of two. Coach Rell has played basketball for twenty three of his twenty five year old life, getting his start at the well renown ST. JOHNS RECREATIONAL CENTER. Coach Rell has played in every major tournament around the city over the years and has had a successful career. Coach Rell first attended Bedford Academy H.S. with the guidance of Coach James Reaves. He graduated with honors then went on to play at Indiana Tech University, a Division 2 college located in Fort Wayne IN.He has also played at Kingsborough Community College and at John Jay College in NYC.
With the help of Coach Reaves, he was introduced to Khalid Green and brought into the BROOKLYN BRIDGE BASKETBALL FAMILY, where he is now head coach of the 10 and under youth program.
With a love for the game of basketball and love for children, Coach Rell strives to change the lives of these young men and women by instilling discipline, hard work, team work and sportsmanship. Hard-work beats talent when talent fails to work hard, the sky is the limit.
